Review: Enrico Pedrotti

The exhibition shows 70 photos, one film and selected press material from the photographer Enrico Pedrotti, who worked in the Trentino South Tyrol region between 1920 and 1960. It is the first extensive opportunity to present Pedrotti’s oeuvre in its entirety. Till now, his work has been known only in specific contexts (mountain, portrait, futurism) and with individual photographs.

Die Ausstellung zeigt 70 Bilder, einen Film und ausgewähltes Pressematerial des zwischen 1920 und 1960 in der Region Trentino Südtirol arbeitenden Fotografen Enrico Pedrotti. Es ist dies die erste umfassende Gelegenheit, das Werk Pedrottis, das bislang nur in spezifischen Kontexten (Berg, Porträt, Futurismus) und anhand einzelner Fotografien bekannt war, in seiner Gesamtheit darzustellen.

La mostra si compone di 70 immagini, una pellicola ed alcuni materiali stampa di Enrico Pedrotti, fotografo attivo tra gli anni Venti e gli anni Cinquanta del Novecento in Trentino Alto Adige. Si tratta di uno sguardo inedito e integrale sulla produzione di Pedrotti fino ad ora “osservata” solamente per paragrafi ristretti e singole immagini (montagna, ritratti, futurismo).
